I've been a professional writer and editor for 15 years, and I've been passionate about the written word for much longer than that.
After a series of magazine internships, I became a researcher and copy editor at Chatelaine, Canada's largest women's magazine. Over the next four years, I deepened my knowledge of consumer magazines and sharpened my research and editing skills. (I also picked up cooking tips from the legendary Chatelaine Test Kitchen!)
For the next five years, as managing editor of Abilities, a lifestyle publication for Canadians with disabilities, I assigned and edited stories; worked with new and established writers; sourced images; wrote the front-of-book section, several articles and a monthly e-newsletter; and collaborated with non-profit organizations to prepare their articles for publication.
Throughout my career, I've freelanced as a writer and editor for a wide range of consumer magazines, trade publications and corporate clients. I love the variety of projects and the opportunities to meet people from diverse fields. It's tremendously rewarding when clients tell me that I make their jobs easier!

I've completed an Honours English degree at the University of Toronto and the Magazine Journalism Certificate at Ryerson University. I continually upgrade my skills in writing, editing and public relations to better meet my clients' needs.
